Anjali Sondhi
21st September 1966 - 14th September 2010

I worked with Anjali on the publication of my daughter’s book for children, I Love To Be Me. We never shared a phone call that didn’t include kind words and warm laughter. Anjali was a pleasure to do business with. She will be missed.

I worked with Anjali on many book projects over the past five years. Anjali worked tirelessly to help people of all ages and all walks of life get their story out and she had a drive and passion matched by no other. Over the years we became friends and Anjali was often a source of support during stressful times, always encouraging me to “Stop worrying and enjoy each day.” For Anjali, and because of Anjali, I will take that advice and strive to make each day on this planet the very best it can be.
I will miss you Anjali and feel you are still very much with us.

Energetic, enthusiastic, effervescent – that was Anjali! A truly engaging whirlwind, Anjali was remarkable for her ability to insightfully seize on authors and writers exceptional ideas and books and turn them into reality. Anjali wanted to make a difference. She wanted to give back. She did. I will miss our endless emails, our hour-long phone calls and our ability to inspire each other. Most of all I will miss my friend.

Just as the ink had begun to dry on the pages of 'Cry for Justice-A Murdered Child’s Legacy,' my friend and publisher Anjali Sondhi passed away suddenly. The shock and sadness of all those that had the opportunity to work alongside Anjali in the publishing world was palpable. This iconic woman will never be forgotten by those that were lucky enough to watch her make author’s dreams come to fruition. Anjali’s passion to make this world a better place for those living in it will carry on for decades through the trees she planted for every book her publishing company sold. I personally will never forget the woman that believed in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself.

~ Sandra Martins-Toner, Author of The Last Six Minutes and Cry for Justice

For the years I have known Anjali she was always reaching towards the joy of following her dream. She was very passionate about writing and helping authors get their message out to the world. I love how she laughed, and always made me laugh as well. She had a wonderful, generous heart that wanted to help those less fortunate in the world. The daughters she loved so much, will make her proud, and I'm sure Anjali will be there in spirit continuing to guide them along their paths. What a blessing to have known Anjali.

~ Lorna Hegarty, Author of The Wealthy Teen

Anjali was my publisher and such a wonderful person to work with. She made every effort to include me in all the decisions relating to my book, while at the same time giving me the best possible advice. From helping to protect our environment to caring about the education of our children, Anjali was a truly remarkable woman. I am deeply saddened that I will never get to meet her in person. I will miss her.

The world has lost a vital, loving, beautiful lady. Anjali did so much for so many, as well as for Planet Earth. Her work with childrens' literature and charities was fantastic. I will miss Anjali very much. She was a great friend and colleague. It is so sad that she was taken from us far, far too soon. I believe in afterlife and know that, in that way, she will be with us always. Yet, it will be a very long time before the pain and sorrow of losing her dimishes at all for me. Anjali's vitality and energy added so much to so many lives. She will live on forever in our hearts and memories as well as through her wonderful work.

~ Nora Caterino

Anjali Sondhi was not only a unique person, but also a publisher with a vision. A green vision. She cared very much about the environment and constantly looked for ways to reduce the books' footprint and support the environment. I liked the fact that she was "green", but at the same time was business minded and looked for ways to do well by doing good . We were part of this effort and enjoyed every bit of this partnership. We definitely need more publishers like her who will follow her leadership, adopting her vision and spirit.
